January Feeding

Food, Please

I had to put gas in my jeep before going out to find a Project 365 photo. So while I was standing in line at the convenience store to pay for it, I was behind a mom and her teenage daughter, who asked her mom for gum.

“What? I just bought you gum. How can you have gone through it all already? I’m not buying more. That’s BAD!”

The mom steps up to the cashier.

“Two packs of Malboro Lights, please.”

May be it’s just me, but something struck me as a little ironic about that.

Anyway, the poor birds at Morehouse Dam flock to the car in winter hoping they’re going to get something to eat. I felt immense guilt at being empty-handed so I turned around and came back with a loaf of bread.
